Support, connection, and clarity through menopause — and beyond
Knowing where to turn during menopause can feel overwhelming.
With so many voices, opinions, and quick fixes out there, it’s hard to know what’s actually helpful — or who to trust.
That’s exactly why we created the Shropshire Menopause Hub.
This isn’t about one-size-fits-all solutions. And while HRT can be a game-changer for some, we believe in showcasing the full spectrum of support available to midlife women — from nutrition and mindset to movement, stress management, community, and more.
It’s time to feel informed, connected, and supported — in a way that fits you.

Meet the women behind the Hub

Shirley Lane – Menopause Coach & Holistic Therapist
I support women navigating life changes, including menopause, through hypnotherapy, NLP, past life regression, Reiki, and holistic therapies.
My own menopause experience was more difficult than I expected — but hypnotherapy and NLP changed everything for me. That’s why I started Balancing Butterflies, and why I’m now part of the Hub: to help other women approach this phase with calm, confidence, and the tools to thrive.

Sarah Summers – Registered Nutritionist & Menopause Specialist
I help women step out of survival mode and into a place of energy and alignment through nutrition that works with your body, not against it. No fads. No extreme rules. Just personalised, supportive advice that works in real life.
I’m also a breast cancer survivor of 11 years and I know how precious good health — and good support — really is. I’ve worked with hundreds of women in the UK and beyond to help them feel strong, clear and well again in midlife.

Nicky Taylor – Community Builder & NHS Veteran
After nearly 40 years in the NHS as a nurse and midwife, I thought I knew women’s health — but my own menopause still caught me off guard, especially during the isolation of the pandemic. It inspired me to create Midlife Me Time, a space for women to talk, connect and feel heard.

As a member of the British Menopause Society, I stay up to date with the latest guidance on HRT and other menopause support — and I’m proud to bring that blend of community and evidence-based care to the Shropshire Menopause Hub.

Why now?
Because life’s too short to just “get through” it.
You deserve to feel good again. You deserve support that fits into your life, not the other way around. And you deserve a local community that’s genuinely got your back.
So if you’ve been waiting for a sign?
This is it.
FAQs
Is this just for women already in menopause?
Not at all. We support women in perimenopause, menopause and post-menopause.

Will all the in-person sessions be in Shrewsbury?
No — we’re planning events across a range of Shropshire locations to make things accessible for everyone.

What if I can’t attend an in-person event?
When we have speakers or workshops, we’ll record them so you can catch up in your own time.

Will I have to share personal stuff?
Only if you want to. You’re welcome to be as involved or quiet as you like.

Is it just online?
A mix of both. You’ll have access to a vibrant online community, expert sessions, and in-person events around the county.

Is the annual membership really better value?
Yes — it gives you 12 months for the price of 10. And you still get full access to everything.
